Student Careers Guidance
As well as one-to-one careers guidance, we make sure every student learns about careers during lessons and registration time.
We believe every student should be able to access good-quality information about further education and job opportunities. At Excelsior Sixth Form we have a post 16 careers lead available as well as a development of careers section with information available. Past students have gone to the best universities in the world, start the most inspiring further education programmes and are recruited for the best apprenticeships.
At Excelsior Sixth Form we have been exploring different careers to widen students' perceptions of the careers available, challenging stereotypes within different careers, enabling students to prepare for career discussions by havin
g a better understanding of where their sixth-form curriculum can lead their career.
While at Excelsior Sixth Form, we support each and every student to complete work experience, voluntary work and visit local employers, colleges and universities too.
With study spaces and a private dining room exclusive to sixth form, as well as computers, laptops, learning materials and staff to help you plan your career.

The Medicspot Innovation Grant
The Medicspot Innovation Grant awards £500 to Excelsior Academy students going on to study a degree or equivalent related to health, medicine, nursing or life sciences. Applications must be submitted online by 31 March each year.
