Listed below you will find below the dates for the official summer 2026 examinations. Please note that in some subjects additional assessments may take place throughout the academic year – students will be informed of these dates by subject teachers.

The Joint Council of Qualifications (JCQ) have stated that for this academic year that Wednesday 24th June 2026 has been designated by the Exam Boards as a ‘contingency day’ for examinations.

This contingency day may be used if there is any disruption to a day of examinations – in this case examinations may be rescheduled. Therefore, students need to make sure they are available on Wednesday 24th June and should not be away / on holiday.

The JCQ state, that if students are not available because they are on holiday and one of their exams is rescheduled to a contingency day, they will not be eligible for special consideration by the exam boards. For this reason, the JCQ request all schools inform parents/carers and all students of this date so it can be taken into account when making plans for the summer.
