Excelsior Academy host a Year 6 Careers Fair

On 18^th October Excelsior Academy hosted an exciting and informative Year 6 Careers Fair for their surrounding Primary Schools, and the event was a resounding success!

Excelsior Academy welcomed students from Excelsior Primary, Atkinson Road Primary Academy, Hawthorn Primary, Broadwood Primary, Canning Street Primary, Bridgewater Primary, St Johns Primary, and Moorside Primary, and the theme for the day was Nurturing Future Dreams.

The fair featured a diverse range of organisations, each offering valuable insights into the world of work and career possibilities. Amongst the participants were British Divers Marine Life Rescue, the Department for Work and Pensions, New Writing North, Newcastle Building Society, Newcastle United Foundation, Sunderland University, Teledyne Isco, The Military Preparation College, and our very own Excelsior College Hair and Beauty Department.

For many of our young visitors, this was their first glimpse into the world of careers, and the fair provided a wonderful opportunity for them to start thinking about their future aspirations. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit, enthusiastically engaging with the various exhibitors.

What was particularly lovely was the praise we received from our guests. The visitors were incredibly impressed with the children's behaviour and level of engagement. It's a testament to the bright futures that lie ahead for these young minds.

Excelsior Academy is proud to be a part of this essential step in nurturing the dreams and ambitions of our students. We're excited about the promising future that awaits these eager learners and look forward to more such events that inspire and encourage them to reach for the stars.
